We’re looking for a Insurance Product Manager to help us improve sales of our retail insurance line by proactively monitoring our products, providing updates, education and product support to stakeholders and distribution partners in support of our broader Retail Insurance Marketing goals and initiatives.

 

Our Product Manager will also be building awareness and ensuring Empire Life’s existing Retail Insurance product portfolio including, life and health product lines, remain competitive in the market. You’ll partner with our team to create, manage and implement marketing plans and tactics to achieve these goals and objectives.

The Challenge:

  • Optimize sales growth and profitability by supporting, educating and providing competitive intelligence on Retail Insurance Marketing products
  • Partner to create, manage and implement marketing and communications solutions that raise awareness, build the brand and increase Empire Life’s product visibility while ensuring these strategies target the intended audiences
  • Proactively identify product trends, promotion opportunities and ensure an appropriate response to new product opportunities, enhancements and challenges with existing product lines
  • Conduct regular product
  • Champion and manage the development and launch of enhancement to existing products
  • Build business cases and oversee cost-benefit analyses to support product and illustration software enhancement initiatives
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships and act as the subject matter expert on existing products; respond to inquiries in a timely manner for key internal stakeholders, sales and distribution partners
  • Provide ongoing education on existing products and product features to key stakeholders, sales and distribution partners
  • Conduct regular product reviews and make recommendations for product line improvements
  • Understand, interpret and make recommendations on the impact of regulatory changes on the product line
  • Identify improvements to processes including illustrations; provide input and implement improvement plans
  • Support sales objectives through identification, development and delivery of compelling product presentations and effective sales tools for target audiences
  • Provide ongoing tracking and monitoring of reports for existing products to Retail Insurance management

 

What you bring:

  • Completion of an undergraduate university degree, with courses in business administration, marketing analysis, research and strategy, business to business marketing, finance and qualitative & quantitative methods
  • Highly analytical, ability to conduct research, analyze data and make recommendations
  • Well-developed ability to translate analysis and data into sales ideas
  • Well-developed communication, negotiation, influencing and presentation skills
  • Ability to work as an effective team member and build and maintain effective, trusting relationships
  • Proven ability to lead and supervise others
  • Strong ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks or projects
  • Well-developed creativity and innovation skills

 

It would be a bonus if you also had:

  • CFP, CLU, RHU, FLMI designations
  • Master’s of Business Administration (MBA)
