Scope Statement

The Marketing Co-op Student provides support to the marketing team located in the Toronto office. The student is guided by defined procedural instruction/frequent checking of results and works under the close supervision of the Marketing Manager, Retail Insurance

 

Impact Statement

 Support marketing and communications strategies and initiatives by developing effective communication and marketing toolkits that increases awareness and visibility of Retail Insurance division.

 Ensure that communication and marketing collateral and content is accurate and meets corporate branding standards

 Builds communication plans, identifies tactics and develops high impact communications to support product, services, campaigns, and promotions ensuring consistency with the value proposition

 

Responsibilities include

 Creating of marketing materials

 Writing of content for print, web and social channels

 Reporting on marketing initiatives

 Provide administrative support as required

 Project management – adept at handling small projects within cross functional team environment

 Strong creative and presentation skills

 

Knowledge / Experience / Certification

 Ideally previous work or practical experience in marketing ideally in the financial services or insurance industry

 Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and e-mail computer software

 Knowledge of Marketing principles

 Video creating/ editing, copy writing and website creation skills an asset

 Various experience required dependent upon the position and the department

 

Education / Professional Courses

 Work toward the completion of a university degree in Marketing or Communications
